Trading post on Cape Chaplino inhabited by Chukchi and Yupik. Important trading and whaling center. Dismantled and the natives resettled by the Soviets in the late 50s. The settlement has no article or Wikidata item of its own — only the resettlement, Novoye Chaplino, does — so the links here name Cape Chaplino, the landform it stood on.
