Lynx
The Western constellation, used as a bearing for a Chukchee one: 2-036 names it "the Elk-Hunter (Lynx)", 2-035 has a hunter of it with "a dog tied behind his sledge", and 2-013 notes that one of its reindeer-drivers carries the same name as the cat's-cradle figure "Mouse-Driver". The Chukchee constellation is the Elk-Hunter and this is the parenthesis Bogoras glosses it with, the same arrangement as Eagle.
All three capitalized Lynx in the book are this, and none is the animal; lowercase lynx is the animal, Lynx lynx.
