Jesup North Pacific Expedition
The expedition of 1897–1902, financed by Morris K. Jesup and directed by Franz Boas for the American Museum of Natural History, surveying the peoples of the North Pacific rim on both the Siberian and American sides. This volume is its Publications VII. Waldemar Bogoras states on 1-021 that his own journey of 1900–01 “formed part of” it; his earlier work of 1890–98 was the Sibiryakoff Expedition’s.
